Correctbook
Correctbook is a sustainable brand of erasable writing materials. With these products the company fights against worldwide illiteracy. A mission that fits perfectly with Plan International’s work for better education for children, with a focus on girls, worldwide. Correctbook has already donated 10,000 erasable writing materials to Plan International’s partner schools in Malawi and Rwanda.
Every day, 250 million children go to school without writing materials. Partly because of this, more than 750 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate worldwide*. Correctbook’s erasable writing materials address this issue by supporting education. And they also save a lot of paper.
Correctbook has now supported more than 500,000 children in six different African countries with learning how to write. The social enterprise produces its products in five of these six countries and thus supports the ambition of producing as locally as possible.
“Correctbook has been working with Plan International in Rwanda and Malawi since 2021. Together we want to combat illiteracy and give everyone access to quality education with the necessary materials. The enthusiasm of the collaboration is bursting and we are busy expanding. Together we make writing accessible to everyone.” – Founder of Correctbook and Chief Writing Officer, Sam van Tol.
